Enterprising Scotland Yearbook and Business Directory

Enterprising Scotland Business Publications is producing a series of twelve Yearbook and Business Directories - YBDs - one for each of the local enterprise areas in Scotland. The project is being undertaken in co-operation with Scottish Enterprise and the local enterprise companies.

The YBDs will promote businesses operating in each of the areas not only to a local market but also to a Scotland-wide industrial and business audience. Unlike previous directories our titles will benefit from utilising the extensive database developed over the past six years for Enterprising Scotland, Scotland's leading industry and enterprise magazine.

The YBDs have a controlled free circulation, with 10,000 copies going out to industrial and commercial companies in each area. In addition, copies of each publication are distributed to a further 20,000 industrial companies throughout the rest of Scotland, spreading the net of promotional coverage for companies operating in the respective areas.

The yearbook sections are comprised of overviews by the local enterprise companies in addition to carrying a limited number of company profiles designed to showcase successful companies operating in the region being covered. Other key information and contact details of use to businesses across Scotland are also included.

The directory is designed to be user-friendly, with clearly designed classifications enabling companies to promote their products and services to a business target market.

The publications will serve to promote the twelve regions as dynamic, vibrant and logistically advantageous places in which to locate, work and do business. In doing so, the publication is designed to carry a strong inward investment message for the areas being covered.
